“ My hubby and I visited Osaka Bench for a date night, and it was everything we hoped for and more! We ordered the Okonomiyaki, Omurice, Prawn Ramen, and two appetizers—Takoyaki and Pork Gyoza. The Okonomiyaki was cooked right in front of us, and you could taste the authenticity with every bite—crispy edges, a perfect mix of ingredients, and that signature umami flavour. The Omurice was pure comfort food; the fluffy omelette draped over seasoned rice with a rich gravy was just chef’s kiss. The Prawn Ramen was a standout—fresh, springy prawns in a broth that was packed with depth and warmth. Perfect for a cool Melbourne evening! And the appetizers? The Takoyaki had that perfect crisp-to-gooey ratio, and the Pork Gyoza were light, crispy, and bursting with flavour. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the service was quick and friendly. If you’re after authentic Osaka-style street food right here in Melbourne, this is the spot. We’re already planning our next visit! ”

“ Tucked away on flinders lane in the bustling CBD is a little taste of japan here at this cosy Japanese eatery. Serving authentic casual Japanese dishes you can find a range of okonomiyaki Japanese pancakes, their famous omurice Japanese omelettes, delicious hearty ramen noodles and a range of delicious Japanese snacks and appetiser dishes too. _ We tried the following dishes: Pork gyoza 10.50 Salmon teppanyaki 11.50 - very flavoursome Omurice Japanese omlette on chicken fried Rick with Japanese gravy 17 Chicken okonomiyaki 19.50 - this was a standout, the pancake was packed with ingredients! Teriyaki chicken ramen 18 _ The setup mimics a cosy Japanese restaurant with very limited seating at the bar or on the side, they also offer takeaway too. I would recommend if you want to dine in, visit at off peak times. Otherwise take away is the way to go. ”
“ Osaka Bench is a total gem! This tiny restaurant makes you feel like you’re in Tokyo with authentic cosy vibe and real Japanese street food. We loved it here, such a great place for a casual catch up at an affordable price. Highly recommend the Omurice, and Okonomiyaki, they have a good selection of add-ons and sauces. This was actually my first time trying Ramen! I loved all of it and each dish was bursting with flavour and authenticity. The menu offers a wide variety of options including dumplings, appetisers, burgers and noodles, all reasonably priced. There were also lots of Japanese diners which I take as a good sign that it’s authentic and a great spot for anyone craving a taste of Japan in Melbourne! There are only about 14 seats in the restaurant so be prepared for a queue in peak times however they're very efficient getting food to the table! ”

“ Japanese cuisine had to be one of my favourites! This cozy, cute corner in the heart of the city is a true hidden gem serving authentic Japanese cuisine at an affordable cost. This place had limited seating. The staff are very helpful and know the menu well. - Takoyaki Balls - my all-time favourite - Prawn Tempura - not oily and crispy on the outside - Okinomiyaki with spicy squid & cheese - tried this for the first time, and it was delish - Pork Teppanyaki Ramen - Yummy as it sounds! -Omurice with crispy chicken - another one of my favourites.
